Koh Samui Island, Thailand

We are located on the beautiful tropical island of Koh Samui, in the bay of Thailand.

Lamai is the second biggest beach on Ko Samui, and not as wild as Chaweng. It has a good mix of locals and ex-pats living here, blended in between resorts and sea-side localities.

Webcam

Live webcam from Lamai Beach. We run our Bootcamps here on Saturdays and Stand Up Paddle sessions on Wednesday mornings - weather permitting. You can scroll back up to 12 hours to see the sunrise or sundown. Can you spot our flag?

Ko Samui has its own ( very nice ) airport that is operated by Bangkok Airways. Infrastructure wise you can find everything on Ko Samui - there are many private hospitals, tons of pharmacies, 24 hour stores such as 7/11 and Family Marts. Big Retailers such as Tesco, Big C, Macro and Tops. You can even find a huge wine selection nowadays - and the best breakfasts - as there's over 4 french bakeries in Lamai alone!

Food wise it doesn't matter if you like Thai food or not ( we love it ) - there are a lot of options here from Italian Restaurants, French Wine bars, Australian foods, Meat buffets, to Indian Food, many Vegan restaurants, etc. It's really hard to not find something to your taste on Ko Samui!

For everything else - we order things online, and they usually arrive 2-3 days later here.

Thailand is a mobile-first country. What does that mean? That means that pretty much everywhere you can get a 4G signal. If your phone can get internet - you'll be settled for just around $10 with a steady internet connection.

Since Ko Samui has many many resorts, there won't be any issues with communication on this island. The majority of service staff in resorts, restaurants and stores do speak English - or will be able to communicate with you with hand and feet.

And for the seldom case that you really need it - if you have your phone in your pocket with Google Translate - you'll be just fine.

You can also fly in to Surat Thani or Nakhon Si Tammarat airports and take the bus & ferry offers from airlines such as Air Asia and Nok Air.
